Sketch #2-Superpower: Invisibility

I chose invisibility as my super power because it is pretty wonderful. :)

I had difficulties deciding what I could do with that. At first I thought that I could do some weird time of fuzzy looking thingy, I guess I kind of got the idea from what it looks like when Harry and them look through the invisibility cloak, but it just looked like someone getting electrocuted. Then I thought that I will show what it looks like to be partly invisible turns out I can not draw people. So I decided to do a snow scene with a bunch of kids out and they see some foot prints leaving the snowman and getting on a bike.

Sketch #2
The #1 person(person middle left) says "mom that bike is moving..."and the #2 person beside him says"...all by its self." Then person #3 bottom left says " look footprints!" and the #4 person beside him says" INVISIBLE PERSON!!!!" And the mother standing on the drive way says "No such thing honey." The bottom says near the bike "or is there."

Progress on my Codes in Illustrator

Here are my illustrator files as of now. I have the layout of the page completed and the general design on the illustrated codes.

1003.7 Elevators, Escalators, and Moving Walks

1008.1.9.7 Hardware Height

The things that I still need besides the rest of the drawing is the citation, the author, and the date for each of the codes.

Hand Drawn Codes

My first code was 1003.7 Elevators, Escalators, and Moving Walks.
This code states that elevators, escalators, and moving walks shall not be used as a component of a required means of egress from any other part of a building.

Means of egress is where you would go in order to get out of a building in case of a fire. So my drawn code shows two different scenarios. On the top is a space that only has an escalator in order to get down from the second floor to the exit. The bottom on has an escalator and steps making the steps another way to get down to the exit.

I was not sure what escalators or elevators looked like, when I looked it up they looked like what I drew. I think that I could come up with something better to represent this but may need some help. Anything that you think would make this better would be awesome because I know now that it is hard to read what the code even means.

1003.7 Elevators, Escalators, and Moving Walks

My next code is 1008.1.9.2 Hardware Height.
Door handles, pulls, locks, and other operating devices shall be installed 34 inches minimum and 48 inches maximum above the finished floor. Locks used only for security purposes and not used for normal operation are permitted at any height.

This is talking about door handles on doors that go into rooms or out of a building. The locks that are used for security purposes only are like ones that you see in motels that are up above the regular locks.  The door on the left shows a door knob at the minimum and the door on the right shows the maximum and the security lock.

I chose to draw a section for this one because you can show multiple doors at once. I think that this one is actually pretty good besides some obvious drawing details. I do not think that the final one will need to include the two doors there could be a range.

Sketch #1- Tinker Toy Sketch

Tinker toys are so awesome because you can get anything out of them that you really want to. Some of the sets even come with little motors so you could make something that moves. I think that tinker toys could be something that artist and designers look at to get creative or to make something that resembles the way that the pieces interact with each of the others.

I just wanted to show what toy I would be drawing before I drew it to show what a variaty of shapes and forms you can get from them.
